Computational Design Kinematics Laboratory at Stony Brook University led by Prof. Qiaode Jeffrey Ge and Prof. Anurag Purwar is involved in a multitude of research areas, such as Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM), Robotics and Manufacturing Automation, Mechanical System Design and Simulation, and Application of Geometric Modeling and Computer Graphics in Engineering.

The main theme of our research work is based on bringing together the fields of Geometric Modeling and Kinematics to develop a computational-geometric framework for motion interpolation and approximation. More recently, we have also developed techniques for constrained motion design besides our earlier work on free-form motion design. More details on our research is available from the Projects page. Additionally, you can also download most of our publications.

While you are here, feel free to browse around and send us an email from the contact page, if you have any questions.
